EVENT INFORMATION every attendee must know before coming to the Bounce Festival.
18 AND UP: Responsible people above the age of 18 are welcome, anyone younger must be accompanied by an adult.
AIRPORTS: Sacramento Airport is 93 miles away. Reno Airport is 106 miles away.
ALCOHOL: You must be 21 years of age in order to purchase or consume alcohol anywhere on the grounds.
AMENITIES: Belden town offers some amenities right on-site. Check the Venue tab for more information.
ATM: There is no local ATM. Please bring cash with you. The nearest ATM is about 30 miles away in either direction. The Bounce will not accept credit cards or ATM cards of any kind. Cash Only. The Restaurant does not have an ATM.
BELDEN BRIDGE: No access across the Belden bridge without vehicle pass and proper wristbands. Obtain these credentials at Chip's Creek Ticketing and General Parking. Cabin Reservations and RV's will check in at the Bridge. All other vehicles and ticket holders must have an official Bounce Car Pass, and each participant in the vehicle must have a wristband, or your vehicle will be turned around and directed to Chip's Creek.
BICYCLES: Cruisers will be available for hourly rental at very affordable rates thanks to our partnership with Factory Bikes from Squaw Valley, CA. Use a bike to cruise around, renta trailer to get your gear to your campsite, or your cooler to the Beach! Happy Cruising!
BOUNCE AT YOUR OWN RISK: Participate, dance, swim, float, tube, kayak, hike, whatever you may choose......at your own risk.
CAR PASS: Available for pre- sale only. No car passes will be sold on-site. All vehicles must proceed to Chip's Creek to obtain their car pass before crossing the Belden Bridge.
CHIP'S CREEK: The festival entrance located 1.5 miles West of the Belden Bridge o Highway 70. General Parking, Tickets, Volunteer Registration are located here.
DOGS: ABSOLUTELY NO DOGS! NO EXCEPTIONS!
FESTIVAL ENTRANCE: The official festival gate is located just East of Belden at Chip's Creek. You must go directly to General Parking & Festival Gate at Chip's Creek to purchase tickets or check in for will call and volunteering. No one will be allowed to enter Belden without a wristband.
FIRE: NO FIRE ALLOWED ON-SITE!!! Campfires are not permitted anywhere in Belden, or The National Forest. Please read on for more information about fire. GLASS: No glass is permitted on festival grounds except in the restaurant.
GENERAL PARKING: Located at Chip's Creek, general parking is free to all Bounce attendees. Please drive slowly.
GREEN TEAM: Everyone who attends the Bounce is part of the Green Team! The Bounce is a green event. Do your part! Remember the 6 R's: Respect, Rethink, Reduce, Reuse, Recycle, Restore! Please read below for more green event details.
ICE: Ice can be purchased at the Belden General Store daily.
PACK IT IN! PACK IT OUT!: A general rule for outdoor activities in the National Forest. Be prepared to take your trash and recycables with you. Waste bags are available at the Information Booth.
PEDESTRIANS RULE: For those on human powered or security and safety vehicles, we ask that you please share the road with pedestrians. They have the right of way in the State of California.
PHONE SERVICE: There is a pay phone in town. Verizon is the only cellular service that works (up to 3 bars only). To date no, other mobile company has been identified to service the area.
POISON OAK: is a common plant in this area. It has a triple leaf pattern with prominent veins and a shiny surface. Learn to recognize it and avoid contacting it. Not sure what it looks like? Come to the Info Booth to check out what it looks like. Should you be exposed, wash your hands immediately with cold water and soap if possible. Know your plants and be cautious.
RESTROOMS: Two restrooms are available in town with additional porto potties placed all around the festival ground. Hand sanitizing stations will also be provided. Restaurant bathrooms are for customers only. Please conserve water!
ROAD CLEARANCE: Please keep the road clear minimum 15 feet when parking for Fire Department and County Official access. This is mandatory. Share the Road.
RV's: Please proceed directly across the Belden Bridge when you arrive. For more information read Camping, Parking and RV section of our site.
SHOWERS: There are two public showers located in the restrooms near the Guest Check In area (the Grovel Pit). Please conserve water! Belden is on a very sensitive water and septic system. We must all do our part to protect this fragile system. Do not abuse our water source by taking long showers or being wasteful in anyway. Shower with a friend if you like!
SMOKING: Please dispose of your cigarette butts carefully, and in a proper disposal bin. Carry a portable cigarette disposal case with you at all times.
THE LAW: The Bounce adheres to all laws set forth by the State of California. Festival goers must abide by local, state, and federal laws at all times.
TICKS: Are common throughout the wooded, brushy, and grassy areas of the Plumas National Forest. To protect yourself wear clothing with a snug fit around your waist, wrist, and ankles. Layers of clothes helps keep ticks from reaching your body. Insect repellant is recommended.
VENDOR VILLAGE: Our Vendor Village offers a variety of fashions, artisan crafts, and delicious bites. To apply for a booth you must pre- register (usually by April). Visit our vendor page for more information.
VOLUNTEER CHECK IN: Volunteers can check in at the General Parking offsite. Confirmed volunteers will receive information and directions regarding arrival and schedule procedures. Thanks for Volunteering.
WATER: Water is available for sale at the general store, and is free from the sources in town. Drink plenty of it! A hydrated community is a happy community.
WEATHER: The Sierras are known to have diverse weather any time of the year. Thunderstorms are common throughout the summer months. Please be prepared for all varieties of weather. It can be reach the upper 90’s so come prepared with a hat, suntan lotion, and plenty of water.
WILDERNESS PERMIT: Permits are required in all wilderness areas and trails. The Bounce holds a Special Use permit for the days of the event, for the Plumas National Forest area around Belden, California. Should you wish to obtain backcountry, extended or day permit, you must contact the Plumas National Forestry Service. To learn more visit The US Forest Service.
WILL CALL: Located at in General Parking at Chip's Creek. All Will Call ticket holders must proceed to Chip's Creek for check in, wristband and car passes.
WRISTBANDS: ALL ATTENDEES must have their official Bounce wristband visible at all times. We will have friendly security and Vibe Patrol ensuring that wristbands are on each individual at event. Please do not lose your wristbands. Our wristbands for 2011 are extremely durable and should not fall off once placed on properly. Wristbands will not be replaced if lost or stolen.

GREEN QUICK TIPS

Carpool or take the BounceBus.

Please pay attention to the recycling areas. Recycle what you cannot use.

Garbage and recycling bags will be available at the Bounce information booth if needed.

Do not let anything hit the ground.

Bring your own coffee mugs, plates and utensils.

Avoid buying over-packaged goods and individual portion packs.

Get rid of all that silly packaging before you come to the event.

Buy durable products, returnable bottles and containers that can be re-filled.

Buy fair-trade and organic food, drinks and products at stalls if possible.

Use re-sealable containers to keep your food fresh (this reduces the amount of plastic film and aluminum foil you throw away).

Use rechargeable batteries.

Bring your own re-useable cloth bag.

Use only phosphate free shampoo and soap in the showers and remember to take a short shower!

Live by the Leave No Trace philosophy – take only photos, leave only footprints.
MORE ON FIRE
Because we love fire lets talk about it some more. We love fire! We know you love fire! We also love our forest. And we especially love our event. Please understand that we cannot have any kind of fire during The Bounce Festival. This means that no open flames, torches, canons, poofers, or campfires of any size are allowed. Please do not bring fireworks.
The Summer is high fire season in this region. Please be mindful or your cigarettes, butts and ashes and carry a disposal case with you at all times. Don’t let it hit the ground!

By attending our event, you are representing yourself as a member of our community to the Forestry Service, Plumas County Officials and local visitors. Please be conscious of your behavior, and demonstrate that our community walks with respect, dignity, and fabulousness!
